The Omni CB3 is an under sink filter replacement cartridge. I use it as the second stage of a dual filter system, a generic carbon filter is used in stage one. My experience over several years of use with this setup has been outstanding. I rely on surface water coarse filtered through a swimming pool sand filter as my only source of water. From a cistern it is pumped to a whole house system. A bar tap faucet at the kitchen sink is connected to the under sink filters and provides all my drinking water. The CB3 provides safe drinking water for 4 to 5 months. The flow rate drops as the filter reaches capacity. The CB3 takes out volatile chemicals, lead, chlorine, sediment, and its 0.5 micron rating traps cysts from animal waste. My wife tells me daily that we have the best drinking water she has ever tasted. I agree.
