I purchased this item thinking it as a clear, see-through filter cartridge only to receive an opaque cartridge.KDF filters work great, but it is helpfult to be able to see when the copper zink media is "gunked up" so you can change the filter cartridge out.I haven't decided yet, but am contemplating returning the filters.
