From day one the top of this pitcher kept falling off and dumped water all over the counter top.I learned to keep a finger on the top but then it slipped and the top fell off and the spout tab broke off so now the spout is useless.One would think that they (Brita) would sell a water pitcher that has some sort of clip to avoid the top from falling off when you try to pour. Do not buy this product unless you are ready for some major frustration.
